1. Who can participate in classes and workshops?
Cooking & Others Classes and Workshops: Minimum age is 15 years old (teenager school holiday “workshop” excepted).
Beverages Classes: Minimum age is 18 years old (ID proof may be requested).
There's no upper-age limit.

2/ Commencement of Classes and Workshops / Following Term Brochure:
Starting Day, Date & Time are clearly indicated in each class or workshop description. Following term brochure are generally available by week 6 of the current term.

3/ Duration of Classes and Workshops:
Most classes run for 2 & ¼ hours and for 9 weeks (4 terms per year)
Native Australian Demonstration/Lunch Workshops are 4 hours duration
Sunday Hands On Workshops are 5 hours duration (AM or PM)
Teenagers Holiday Workshops are 2 & ½ hours daily (Monday-Friday or Saturday)
Special classes or workshops time are clearly indicated within description.

4/ Cancellation of Classes or Workshops:
The school reserves the right to cancel a course (or vary the duration of a course) if they are insufficient number of students enrolled. Or for others reason beyond our control. If the school has to cancel a course, refund of fee (less bank charges), free transfer to others classes or alternative option will be offered.

5/ Child Care:
For safety reasons, children cannot accompany students to the class. Occasional childcare is available at 4 locations near the school (address and telephone details will be provided upon request).

6/ Multiple booking (same student/term):
Please refer to special conditions. (20 % off second cooking class cost.)

7/ Course or Workshop Certificates:
Can be delivered to anyone attending our workshop or completing at least 7 out of 9 weeks in our full term class. A fee of $ 5.00 applied ($ 6.50 if posted).

8/ Public Holiday:
All our classes are postponed by one week.

9/ Insurance (disclaimer):
P.I.C.S. hold full insurance, but cannot accept responsibility for misadventure or loss to person or property. If you feel that you need to, you may contract personal liability insurance for the duration of your selected course(s). For your safety and comfort we strongly recommend that you wear closed flat non-slip shoes in our kitchen.

10/ Payment & Transfer / Credit Card or Paypal Payments:
Do not post cash money (or leave cash in the school letterbox).
Dishonoured payment will incur administrative fee of $ 20.00 (for bank charges). Booking less than one week prior to course's starting date incurs a $ 8.00 late enrolment fee (this fee will be charge for each class or workshop booking).
Booking with credit card or Paypal incurs a surcharge as listed below:
Workshops: $ 3.00;
most evening classes: $ 8.00; Day time class: $7.00;
Hospitality Class: $ 20.00.
Restaurant customer paying bill by credit card, add $ 1.50 to price of meal for each guest. For Food and Wine Matching Dinner, please add $2.00 for credit card payment per person.
In exceptional case, the school may agree in a “next term transfer”. Transfer fee of $ 30.00 apply. Money is credited towards the class at time of enrolment so no refund will be given if you change your mind or due to personal circumstances.

11/ Gift Certificates:
Gift Certificates are available for all of our Classes or Workshops. We also provide Gift Certificates for restaurant meals. The value of the gift (eventually select the class or workshop) should be decided in advance, or allow the recipient to choose their class(es) or workshop(s) or dinner. We mail out purchased Gift Certificates free of charge.
These certificates are not redeemable for cash in any circumstances.

Furi Knifes also available on order.
Assorted soft drink $ 1.20

13/ Breakages & Equipment Malfunction:
In order to have equipment fixed rapidly report any malfunction to your teacher. To have equipment replace when necessary, report any breakages to your teacher. To avoid any disadvantage to other class students, it’s strictly forbidden to "borrow” and take any school equipment out of the school’s premises.

14/ General School Rules:
For everyone's enjoyment & hygiene the school is a strictly non-smoking place. The school has a BYO policy (beer or alcohol). For your own safety, it’s recommended that you drink in moderation. (Taxi can be ordered if needed.) For health and safety reasons, being drunk or disorderly behavior is not tolerated at the school, and we will ask you to leave school premises quietly. For a better future, we recycle paper, glass, plastic, aluminum cans and tins can.

15/ Student Discount:
Students with Senior Cards, Gourmet Traveller Card, GALA member, SGLBA member, and Berrtolli Club Members are qualified to claim a 10% discount on advertised enrolment fees. Only one discount per student per class.
